Our Peer Support Service in South Angus can offer you practical and emotional support if you’re experiencing mental health challenges, including self-harm or thoughts of suicide. Our fully trained peer team have their own lived experience of recovery in mental health and bring their own insight to support you on your journey.

How does it work?

Within our team, each member has lived experience of managing and living with mental ill health. Our insight means we might have some understanding of how you’re feeling and what you’re going through.

We can offer you compassionate one-to-one support if you’re mental health and wellbeing is being impacted by life events. We’ll help you to develop ways to maintain good wellbeing, and we’ll explore with you your overall wellbeing and the things that are important to you in your life.

The service is split into two parts: the young person’s service for the age group 11 – 15, and the adult service for the age group 16 and over.

Where will support happen?

Support takes place in person at your GP practice, but we can also offer support over the phone or by video call.
