Louise's Tough Mudder Diary
Last weekend I competed in the Tough Mudder event. The event was a 10K running route with a series of 20 obstacles, ranging from dunks in freezing cold water, scrambling over climbing frames, and crawling through muddy trenches!
The event took place at Drumlanrig Castle in Dumfries and Galloway, across a beautiful estate with woodland, lakes, and open hillside.
I love working at Penumbra and I am proud to work for a charity that has such a relationship-focused approach to mental health.
I have worked for Penumbra for over a year as an Impact and Evaluation Lead. In my role, I look at the Future Pathways service and evaluate the difference we make to people and to other services throughout our organisation. I love working at Penumbra and I am proud to work for a charity that has such a relationship-focused approach to mental health.
Working at Penumbra has helped me learn more about my own mental health and has given me a deep sense of purpose and direction in my career. It is so motivating to know that my work could help make a difference in people’s lives.
This year I wanted to challenge myself in new ways. I have learned that trying new experiences and achieving goals is important in my own mental health. Signing up for the Tough Mudder was the perfect opportunity to push myself, have fun, and raise some money for a charity I believe in (in the muddiest way possible!).
Huge thanks to Louise for participating in the Tough Mudder on behalf of Penumbra!
