Ashley's London Marathon fundraiser

I had THE BEST day! I loved it! There were smiles, few tears and a few dark moments and a lot of lactic acid in my legs but I absolutely loved it!

It was hard to know what to expect as I’d been severely anaemic 4 weeks prior to the event and I decided to rest to give my body the best chance to recover and I was on iron supplements. I managed to get my bloods checked prior to running the marathon and they were much improved. I also felt better in myself too! I set out promising myself I’d listen to my body – and I did!

I felt so comfortable for the majority of the run!

I feel absolutely over the moon to have completed my first ever marathon in 3:53! Obviously it’s now made me consider what next! 😜

I couldn’t have done it without the support of my inspirational coach and some of my awesome running buddies.

And massive shout out to Big Hearted Scotland, Penumbra Mental health, Epilepsy Scotland, One Kind Scotland, and Erskine Veterans Charity.

Thank you for the opportunity and for all of the support! Everything about running it was a dream come true and I got to raise money on your behalf! Total is £2550!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🥳

Thank you everyone! 🥰
