Vital self-harm service scoops lottery award
Mental health charity, Penumbra, are celebrating in Fife this week after being awarded £124,000 from the National Lottery Communities Fund for their service which supports people experiencing self-harm.
The Fife Self-Harm Project offers support to people aged 18 and over across the kingdom who are living with self-harm. The team are based in Dunfermline, but support is offered to anyone living in a Fife postcode. Support can be accessed by self-referral which means people can contact the team direct. “So we hope this news will create a ripple effect and let people know that there is support out there. We can offer a compassionate space for people to share and explore their thoughts and feelings in a safe way. We have our own Facebook page @PenumbraFife where people can follow us, and people can also find us on the Penumbra website where our contact details are.”
