Top marks for charity's supported living service in Edinburgh
Leading mental health charity, Penumbra, is celebrating this week after receiving top marks from the Care Inspectorate for its Edinburgh Supported Living Service (SLS).
The Care inspectorate reported noted that Penumbra’s Edinburgh SLS “excelled in the support they provided enabling people to experience positive outcomes that enhanced their wellbeing” and awarded the service the highest score of 6 (excellent).
Penumbra Service Manager for the Edinburgh Supported Living Service, Debbie McLachlan, commented, “we’re delighted to receive top marks from the Care Inspectorate for our quality of care at our supported living service. This is a reflection of the dedication of our compassionate and highly skilled recovery teams.
“Our work is always guided by our core values that people with mental health problems should expect recovery, and should be accepted, supported and have the resources to fulfil their potential. That’s why our compassionate and highly skilled teams work around the clock to provide a tailored service to each person we support in identifying and building the tools they need to live well.”
